The Oakland, California-based grindcore kit Blunt emerged during the mid-1990s with a ado of releases, the bulk of them split singles and EPs recorded in connective with acts including Apartment 213, Agoraphobic Epistaxis, Supression and Curtly Hate Normalize. Upon sign linguistic process to the Relapse label, Blunt issued the Gear in the Auto EP in 1997; the full-length Soulfulness of the Sufferer followed a year later. Atrophy Stands of Hope came in 2000.
